This industrial hanging lamp was used at the beginning of the 20th century in the coal mines of Cannock Mining Co. All products of the brand Limehouse that are made of brass can be ordered with different finishes. In which finishes each product is available, you can choose the color above. Below you will find an overview of all the finishes of the brass, including the meanings:   PB -> The lamp is polished and then varnished. This keeps the lamp shiny, and cleaning twice a year with a damp cloth is sufficient. If the lamp is placed outside, this is not allowed in the coastal areas. PBUL -> The lamp is only polished and will eventually change color slightly. This can be polished up again if you wish. AB -> After production, the lamp was degreased and put in a chemical bath. This makes the metal look outdated. The metal was then polished to regain some of its natural color. The lamp requires no maintenance to retain its color. ANT -> After production, the lamp is degreased and put in a chemical bath. The finish is grayish bronze and it looks like the lamp has been around for decades. The lamp needs no maintenance to stay that way. N -> After production, the lamp has been degreased and placed in an electric bath to make the material completely free of grease and dust. The lamp was then nickel plated with a minimum layer of 10 microns (mu) (this is more than twice the requirement for BSEN-12540, a standard for preventing corrosion). Ultimately, the lamp is polished and ready for use. Over time, the nickel can be affected. You can get back the original color by finishing the lamp with a metallic luster. C -> After production, the lamp has been degreased and placed in an electric bath to make the material completely free of grease and dust. The lamp is then provided with a minimum layer of 10 micron (mu) copper (this is more than twice the requirement for BSEN-12540, a standard for preventing corrosion). Ultimately, the lamp is polished and ready for use. Over time, the nickel can be affected. You can get back the original color by finishing the lamp with a metallic luster. BZ -> After production, the lamp has been degreased and put in a chemical bath to bronze the lamp. It was then cleaned and varnished to get a bronze finish. This means that the lamp only needs to be cleaned twice a year with a dry cloth. Lamps with this finish are not suitable for outside.
