Description
Ground spot PUCK is perfect as indicator lighting for your driveway, path, platform or jetty. The light can be seen from a great distance because of the lateral exit, but it is not dazzling, so that PUCK can also be used as mood lighting. PUCK is made of warm silver anodised aluminum. The PUCK series comes in two different sizes and colors: PUCK (DARK) has a diameter of 60 mm, PUCK 22 (DARK) has a diameter of 22 mm. You use this ground spot in a hole in wood (wood drill) or stone (cooled diamond drill) with a diameter of 60 mm. This can possibly take care of a dealer or gardener. PUCK (DARK) is supplied with a stainless steel fitting cup. This stainless steel ring ensures that the spot is easy and tension-free to assemble and removable. You push the spot together with the cup into the hole, a hammer is not necessary. Due to the sprung tabs of the cup the spot is always well clamped. The stainless steel mounting cup is not available separately and can not be used for other luminaires yet. For the sake of clarity, the brief explanation of the system is given below. This fixture belongs to the In-lite 12 volt system: In-lite outdoor lighting is based on low voltage (12 volts). Inlite lighting is therefore safe and easy to install yourself. You only need a transformer and 12 volt cable from Inlite. The transformer controls the lighting and gives power to the system. With the aid of the Inlite light sensor, the lighting automatically switches on when it gets dark and with the timer you can set the number of burning hours. The low-voltage cable conducts the current and ensures that the luminaires are lit. Always make sure that your Inlite transformer has sufficient power (watts) for the luminaires in your lighting plan. In addition, when selecting the 12-volt cable, consider the maximum distance you can travel with it.
How does the In-lite 12 volt system work?
The In-lite 12 volt system has been developed to easily illuminate your garden completely. You need various parts to operate In-lite lighting fixtures. If you know which fixtures you want and in what quantities, add all the wattages of the fixtures together. With In-lite this is expressed in VA (volt-ampere). For this article that is [VA]VA. Depending on the total power, you choose the HUB-50 (total power 50VA ) or the HUB-100 (total power 100VA).
After you know which transformer you need, see how many meters of cable you need. In-lite uses two types of cables: a 14/2 cable and a 10/2 cable. The 14/2 is the thinnest of the two and has a maximum linear length of 40 meters. This does not mean that the total number of meters of cables in your garden should not exceed 40, but that the furthest point of the cable should not be more than 40 meters from the transformer. For the 10/2 variant this is 80 meters. In-lite offers the cables in different lengths.
To use the In-lite system as efficiently as possible, you can expand the system with the motion sensor MOVE. There is an extra connection in the transformer for the motion sensor. This causes the entire system to turn on when the motion sensor detects movement. A 2 meter cable is supplied as standard with the MOVE. If this is too short, there is also a 5 meter extension cable which allows you to hang the MOVE further from the transformer. Please note, this is possible up to a maximum of 20 meters.
Once you have the cable in the garden, you can connect the lighting fixtures to it. Each fixture comes with an Easy-lock (connector from In-lite) that allows you to connect the lamp to the main cable. Of course, it may sometimes happen that you have to move in multiple directions in your garden. With the cable connector CC-2 you can easily make a branch at any desired location on the cable.
