All products of the Limehouse brand that are made of brass can be ordered with different finishes. In which finishes each product is available, you can choose in the color above. Below you will find an overview of all finishes of the brass, including the meanings: PB -> The lamp is polished and then lacquered. This keeps the lamp shiny, and cleaning it twice a year with a damp cloth is sufficient. If the lamp is placed outside, this is not allowed in the coastal areas PBUL -> The lamp is only polished and will eventually change color slightly. It can be polished again whenever you wish. AB -> After production, the lamp was degreased and put in a chemical bath. This makes the metal appear to be outdated. The metal is then polished to bring back some of its natural colour. The lamp requires no maintenance to maintain its color ANT -> After production, the lamp was degreased and put in a chemical bath. The finish is grayish bronze and it looks like the lamp has been around for decades. The lamp does not require any maintenance to stay that way. N -> After production, the lamp was degreased and put in an electric bath to make the material completely grease and dust free. The lamp is then nickel-plated with a minimum layer of 10 microns (mu) (this is more than twice the requirement for BSEN-12540, a standard for anti-corrosion). In the end, the lamp is polished and ready for use. Over time, the nickel can be affected. You can restore the original color by wiping the lamp with a metallic shine. C -> After production, the lamp was degreased and put in an electric bath to make the material completely free of grease and dust. The lamp is then coated with a minimum layer of 10 microns (mu) of copper (this is more than twice the requirement for BSEN-12540, a standard for anti-corrosion). In the end, the lamp is polished and ready for use. Over time, the nickel can be affected. You can restore the original color by wiping the lamp with a metallic shine. BZ -> After production, the lamp was degreased and put in a chemical bath to bronze the lamp. It was then cleaned and varnished to get a bronze finish. This means that the lamp only needs to be wiped off with a dry cloth twice a year. Lamps with this finish are not suitable for outdoor use.
