It all started in 1968. We had launched a small lighting department in our store in Opheusden NLD. Fifty years later, the situation has positively got out of control. LampsTotal has become a through market leader in the lighting world, both online and in physical stores.
1968: We start up a small store with DIY (Do It Yourself) products and some lights, located in the Hamsestraat in Opheusden.
1976: Because of a massive growth, we deem it necessary to move to a location near the Kerklaan. We expand our range with Philips products, Osram products and also some torchlights.
1989: We move again! Our address is now a store location in the Dorpsstraat ('Village Street'), literally in the middle of the village. We expand our assortment with fluorescent light tubes, light sources and outdoor lighting.
1991: For the first time ever, we have an outdoor lighting presentation in our store!
1993: Instead of showing off our lighting on less than one square metre, we now expand to an outdoor lighting showroom of twenty square metres in NLD.
1995: It's the first time we take part in a garden convention at the Annual Convention in Utrecht NLD.
2003: We finally go online. The web shop 'BuitenlampenTotaal.nl' (Outdoor Lights Total) launches.
2007: Behind our store in the Dorpsstraat in Opheusden NLD, we open up a giant show garden with outdoor lighting where our customers can view more than 1.000 different lights.
2008: Our internet sales outlive all of our expectations. We launch a web shop called 'BinnenlampenTotaal.nl' (Indoor Lights Total).
2009: We open up a web shop and office in Belgium.
2009: We open up an office for our lighting products in France, in addition to a French web shop.
2010: We launch a web shop called 'MagliteTotaal' (Maglite Total) for our selection of torchlights.
2011: In Opheusden NLD, we open up a new depot with a stock that exceeds 10.000 lights.
2012: Our assortment of lights grows from 10.000 to over 20.000 lights.
2014: All of our lights web shops get combined in one complete web shop, and operates under a new name: LampsTotal.com (LampsTotal).
2015: LampsTotal wins the audience prize of 'Best webshop 2015' (Home Store Awards). On the 5th of March 2015, we received the ThuisWinkel Award audience prize in the Living & Garden category.

We are one of those stores that makes you think: 'If I can't find it here, it will be damn hard to find it anywhere else, too!'. Of course you will find the sharpest prices available in our store, you'll return for our excellent service, and get snacks and beverages while you shop if you drop by at our physical locations!
